Como parte de la serie Verve JazzClub, "Beatles Vs. Stones" recopila 18 canciones (nueve de cada banda) de los dos íconos de la "Invasión Británica", los cuales llegan en forma de versiones de, por ejemplo, Count Basie ("Michelle"), Shake Keane con la Orquesta de Ivor Raymonde ("Como pasan las lágrimas"), Oscar Peterson ("Ayer") y Caetano Veloso ("Let It Bleed"). A un precio adecuado para su presupuesto, el concepto es pura novedad, pero al escuchar a la élite del jazz interpretar algunas de las más famosas canciones del repertorio rock & roll de la historia, casi vale el pequeño cambio.
